The awards recognise exceptional individuals and organisations across the construction and built environment sector, including apprentices, young professionals, students, employers, education providers and training organisations. The 2026 programme features 20 categories.
Nominations go through an independent judging process led by experienced professionals from across construction, education, business and the built environment. Judges are selected for their expertise and bring diverse perspectives to the evaluation process.
The National Building the Future Awards 2026 will take place on Thursday 5 November 2026 at The ICC Birmingham. The event is expected to welcome an audience of more than 600 industry professionals.
There are several ways to get involved, including sponsorship, partnerships, careers engagement and workforce development initiatives. Organisations can connect with emerging talent, industry leaders, educators and other key stakeholders through the Building the Future ecosystem.
The Construction Summit & Careers Fair brings industry leaders, policymakers, educators and young people together to explore careers, skills, innovation, social value and the future of construction. The 2026 programme includes more than 200 students from 12 West Midlands secondary schools.
